Welcome to The Cyprus Peace Portal

Peace is an attitude of Right Human Relations, expressed at all levels of human behaviour i.e.: the intra and inter-personal; the intra and inter-group; the intra and inter-ethnic; the intra and inter-state; and the intra and inter-civilisation.

The objective of this Peace Portal is to contribute to the advancement of these Human Life Expressions. We will strive to help visitors find their own particular way to this process of Human Development and their particular choice of Service to Humanity, but with particular reference to the advancement of a Peace Culture.

We promise to constantly improve and sustain a vibrant Peace Portal.

Participatory Democratic Dialogue:The content of this Peace Portal, whether it represents the Philosophy of the Peace Centre; the choice of which Local or International Peace Actors to include; and the selection of their particular texts, is the result of the best of the discretion of those of us who have initiated this effort. We consider the result of our work as the beginning of a process of a Participatory and Democratic Dialogue with everybody who will decide to participate in this endeavour. We are committed to engage in appropriate workshops and round table discussions for a continuous development and improvement of this Peace Portal.

Completing all sections of the Portal to the quality we aim for, will take us a long time. Therefore, we have decided to go on line swiftly and continue working on the content of the rest of the sections. We apologise for the inconvenience.
